IMHO, you're right: Smart is doing it the wrong way. BUT, you're wrong about not
having any information at all. I think the best thing should be having a
confirmation box "Channel not available. Disable it?" with "Yes" and "No". In
case of "No"

Although Smart is smart enought to rearange the channels priority when you have
mirrors defined, if this channel is the only one available it is very important
that the user gets an alert about it being available or not. Wouldn't it be even
more frustrating if you asked to install a package, the channel is not
available, Smart sits there and say nothing, and you never get the package
installed?

Maybe a workaround would be using some kind of timeout on the window so it
closes automatically if the user won't take any action on it.

So we have four possible solutions:

a) Leave as is.
b) Ask to disable the channel.
c) Use a timeout on (a)
d) Use a timeout on (b)

Suggestions are appreciated.
