Smart 0.4.12 freeze on suse 10

Hi,

I use smart 0.40.12 on Suse 10 (32bits) and it freeze 
usually during first upgrade of my suse box just after the 
DVD installation.
I've installed suse and smart on several boxes and the 
problem happen each time.

It only freeze on big upgrade (more than 100Mo  downloaded 
packages).

If smart freezes, I usually kill the process and start it 
again with the fix option first.

Sometime, it freeze during the fix option so I tried again 
smart upgrade and it works.

Is there a verbose option of smart to find the problem and 
help for debugging this wonderfull tool ?
