[issue33] CRASHES when trying to use upgrade or search (possible with all commands)

I find out the reason for that error message.
This error message comes when there is some problem with channel. 
It would be really nice if there is some message that tells what channel doesn't
work and reason. This would help lot's and save time when trying to figure whats
wrong.
