Recommended way to get patches noticed.

Hi,

I'm not really a hardcore dev, but made a small update to ksmarttray. The 
feature was already listed in the issue tracker (#133). I added my little 
patch to that issue, but I'm wondering what the normal way is to make sure it 
gets noticed. Is it best to post the patch to the mail list, or is prefixing 
the title with [PATCH] enough? Or will it have already been seen anyway, and 
I should just keep quiet and let the adults work ;-)
