Look closer. ;-) It's totally mixed. See /etc/permissions.d/postfix:

/usr/sbin/sendmail root:root 0755

but

/usr/sbin/postfix root.root 0755

Since it's totally irregular, I have to conclude that there is no rule
at all.

The package by Pascal Bleser has it in /usr/bin and the package by
Christoph Thiel has it in /usr/sbin.

Which solution is better? I don't know and IMHO it doesn't really matter
at all because smart-update is usually not invoked directly.
