[issue196] Smart crashes during update cache

This means there was a corrupted file in there. In these cases you can
pretty much remove everything in /var/lib/smart/channels/* and run
"smart update" again. Smart doesn't store any information in the
channels directory which can't be recreated by running "smart update".
