i've updated to,

 smart-beta-0.50rc1-9.guru.suse101 at i686
 smart-beta-addons-0.50rc1-9.guru.suse101 at i686

on my opensuse 10.2 box.

now, despite,

 % echo $EDITOR
   /usr/bin/joe
 % echo $editor
   editor: Undefined variable.

on,

  % smart mirror --edit

the mirror 'temp' file is opened in 'vi' -- not the specifed editor 'joe'.
