Fedor G Pikus <fpikus at gmail.com> added the comment:

Yes, you can see the installed version in the RPM pseudo-channel, but it's not
useful when I'm in reporitory channel selecting upgrades (not to mention that
when I'm selecting upgrades I probably don't have the tree style by channels).
Also, it's really hard to find all upgrades if I look at expanded tree (where
installed packages are marked by color icons). So I'll have "hide non-upgrades"
checked, and then installed RPMs are not shown at all.

What I'd like to see is the second column:

gcc     4.0.2-1.fc4 4.0.1-3.fc4 <-- I have 4.0.1, 4.0.2-1 is available
gcc     4.0.2-2.fc4 4.0.1-3.fc4 <-- I have 4.0.1, 4.0.2-2 is available
gcc-c++ 4.0.2-1.fc4 <nothing>   <-- I don't have this package, 4.0.2-1 available
gcc-c++ 4.0.2-2.fc4 <nothing>   <-- I don't have this package, 4.0.2-2 available

My second wish was to have an option to hide both "-1" lines so I can select the
range of packages and install them all at once. If I try to do it now, I have to
parse the list, make sure I only have one gcc and one gcc-c++, make sure I
deselected all but the last version, and only then I can mark them for upgrade.
