If the squeaky wheel gets the grease then I didn't whine loudly enough
on the yum mailing list when yum removed the "package-policy=last"
option.  I also didn't whine loudly enough when fedora removed APT-RPM
support from their package stream without a suitable replacement.  And
no -- I don't consider yum a suitable replacement.

Do I sound like a future ubuntu user yet?

The trick is making the right technical decisions.  And when you're
mired in politics, that can be hard to do.
