Sorry to bother again but after my joy about the smart running
perfectly, this morning when I started smart using "smart --gui" the
following error came:

OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory:
'/var/lib/smart/channels/ivazquez%%

Noe in the directory channels mentioned no channels are shown but if I
make a symbolic link tp the /etc/smart/channels directory that doesn't
change anything.
I haven't done anything to the system.
Can anybody give a hint as in the manuals I can not find anything.
