[issue34] rpm-md use is VERY SLOW

I've noticed that this only heppens with the use of Fedora Extras / Development
channels -- I've loaded up Dries, FreshRPMs, Dags, and disabled the Fedora ones,
it quits prompto.
Enable them, the problem starts again...
