apt "keep" smart equivalent

hi,

is there an equivalent to the apt "keep" conf statement available for
smart? i do not like kernel upgrades since some kernels from the fc5
updates are really like shit and a kernel update on our machines means
openafs rebuild.

i tried to copy "blessed" kernels to my local repo and setting priority
to 200, but the kernels are still fetched from fc5 updates. is the
priority setting working only between identical packages (including
version) or just on the package name?

i have also noticed that copying packages to my local repo with pri=200
does not ensure that they will be fetched locally...

^C,
