Fatal Error - 0.50rc1-4

Doing an upgrade a short time ago there was a problem in getting update 
info from one of the channels so I went in to edit the channel to 
temporarily disable it.

Selecting the channel - thru the Smart Package Manager gui - and 
clicking on edit I got the following error message, "Don't know how to 
handle <type 'list'> fields". This error messages appear for every 
channel I (then) tried to edit.
