My problem from

still exists with 0.50rc1 (home:/cthiel/10.1-i586/smart-0.49.1-8.1)

I have cleared /var/lib/smart/channels and killed /var/lib/smart/cache 
but it still wants to update gbdfed which is not installed at all.
