[issue191] Download progressbar indicates percentage on # of package, not KBs downloaded

I have started working on this bug.  The place to start appeares to be renaming
some of the variable in profile.py so they describe the data being stored.

subTopic -> fileName
...

Is their a patch size you prefer?  A series of incremental patches or one big one.
