Here is a first sample of what I am working on to clean up progress.  In every
instance the progress indicator is reflecting some thing happening to a file. 
Therefor, I have gone through and renamed the following variables.

s/subtopic/fileName/gc
s/subdone/fileDone/gc
s/subprogress/fileProgress/gc
s/getSubCount/getFileCount/gc
s/subexpose/fileExpose/gc
s/subpercent/filePercent/gc
s/setSubTopic/setFileName/gc
s/subkey/fileKey/gc

I have several more subtitutions to make.  Just wanted to let you know what I
was up to.

The patch is againts 755.  Tested while updating ubuntu dapper->edgy and FC 4->5
under vmware.
