Found the issue, was caused by a patch that had unfortunate side effects
(cthiel: it's ludwig's patch ;))
I'm currently building 0.42-14 for SUSE 10.1->9.2, will be available in
a few hours. Just upgrade to that version and it will be fixed.
smart update guru && smart upgrade smart\*
(in a few hours, not _now_ ;))
