smart has a strange effect

Hi,

With me also a 100% cpu-usage, which is a lot.
In that time, nothing else can be done..
Also SuSE 10.1 x86_64 smart 0.42-12, KDE 3.5.4 'a' all latest upgrades.

On the other hand, smart performs realy great, much better as in 10.0
