Hi all,
I use smart on a large number of machines, downloading updates from an FTP
server on the local LAN.
I see "Bad PASV/EPSV response: 500" error messages all the time, causing
smart to exit without updating. It usually completes successfully when
run again. The errors appear randomly, and have nothing to do with what
package is being downloaded at the time.
I've included some sample smart output as a text attachment.
I see that you guys are using a python version of curl. It seems like
this bug also exists in regular curl:
http://curl.haxx.se/mail/lib-2007-07/0215.html
I wonder if a similar fix can be made for smart.
