bizarre multi-arch error

This is on fedora fc6 x86_64 using smart-0.50-45.fc6

Here, I am looking to install firefox-2, replacing firefox-1.5.

sudo smart install firefox-2.0.0.1-3.fc6.remi.x86_64.rpm
...
Upgrading packages (1):
  firefox-2.0.0.1-3.fc6.remi at x86_64

Installing packages (1):
  firefox-1.5.0.9-2.fc6 at i386

What?!? Install a i386 package to satisfy x86_64 requirements?? That's clearly 
wrong.
