smart 0.50 requires python >= 2.4? (smart/ccache.so: undefined symbol: Py_VISIT)

Hi,
smart 0.50 introduced a dependency on Py_VISIT, which AFAIK is only
available on python >= 2.4
On CentOS4 and RHEL4 it bails out with:
