Percent complete by download size

Given that Smart tells you how much it will download, is it not possible for
it to give progress a percentage of how much has been downloaded. The
default setuo of having it as percentage of packages downlaoded makes little
sense to me. This is given the fact one download could be outstanding,
making up more than 50% of downloadable space, yet could be the only
remaining package and thus leaving the percentage at 80%+
