Distributions going smart & bugfixes?

Depends on what release you want, "bugfix" was supposed to be
the minor revision (e.g. 1.1.2) and "testing" the major (1.2)

There were too many bugs pending, so I divided them up a little
so that it would be easier to merge them into trunk for release.

That is the purpose of the branch, yes. It also had the support
for Python 2.6, that is needed by Fedora 11 and openSUSE 11.1...

Fedora 10 still has issues beyond those addressed in that branch,
like rpm-md not deleting old metadata* due to the random filenames.
And there's probably a lot more issues with the rpm.org 4.6 release
waiting to happen, beyond permitting the loops and empty provides.

It also needs support for Yum Comps to be useful in Fedora, since
many things are now only in those as the RPM Groups are not used ?
But that implementation* (of "comps") has been pushed for next year
so there will be no Yum Comps/PackageKit Collections in Smart 1.2
