disk space consumption

I just did a fresh Factory install, added packman & non-oss sources then
smart via Yast2. Then I did:

# df /
Filesystem           1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda10             4837465   2552783   2038890  56% /
gx150:~# smart update
...
# df /
Filesystem           1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda10             4837465   2894451   1697222  64% /

How does the Smart package management system manage to need 340MB for
/var/lib/smart data? :-(
