Still unable to use Smart with Mandriva

I worked around this issue, for now:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~smartpm/smart/trunk/revision/1059/smart/progress.py

It's "wrong", but there is no reason why threading issues with
displaying the progress bar should stop the whole thing working.
