Repository Doesn't Have Repomd.xml.asc

Hi,
I have an issue in Fedora 20 where a vendors repository designed
for yum cannot be included in smart because smart wants to download
repodata/repomd.xml.asc which doesn't exist. Consequently it doesn't add
the repository into its channel list. Is there any way to tell smart not
to care whether or not the asc file exists?

regards,
Steve
