Hi All,<br><br>I am trying to use proxy authentication using smart, but its not working. I did the following,<br><br><span style="font-style: italic;">smart config --set http-proxy=<a href="http://uname:pwd@ipaddr:port-num/">

http://uname:pwd@ipaddr:port-num/</a></span><br style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-style: italic;">smart config --set ftp-proxy=<a href="ftp://uname:pwd@ipaddr:port-num/">ftp://uname:pwd@ipaddr:port-num/</a></span>

<br style="font-style: italic;" clear="all"><br>And also my global environment variables <span style="font-style: italic;">http_proxy</span> and <span style="font-style: italic;">ftp_proxy</span> are also set<br><br>But, when I run smart update, I get this error,

<br><br><span style="font-style: italic;">error: <a href="http://88.198.41.209/pub/devel/yoper-3.0/base/release">http://88.198.41.209/pub/devel/yoper-3.0/base/release</a>: (-2, 'Name or service not known')<br><span style="font-style: italic;">

My distribution is <a href="http://www.yoper.com">Yoper</a> I would be happy if anybody could help me. I have tested with apt-get and apt-get works fine with the env variables, http_proxy and ftp_proxy set.
