Hello folks!

I've been playing around to implement YaST2 channel support into Smart,
and I'm glad to say that it's going quite well.

I would like to ask for volunteers to test the current code, which is
available as a patch against smart-0.41 on:

http://tracker.labix.org/issue62

Please, feel free to test and comment on it, either here on the mailing
list or on the tracker itself.

Currently I've only tested with FTP/HTTP sources, but it's very possible
that it would work with local directories and even with removable media
(CDs and DVDs), although multiple media isn't supported yet (sorry, on
multiple CDs, only CD1 works).

I am very happy with the current implementation. It updates the cache
for 9 channels in about 50s (agains 1m15s using apt-rpm) on my Sempron
2400+.

Unfortunately I did not yet managed to code YOU support, which means
that the 'update' source should still be used as an apt-rpm channel. I'm
planning to make this one works as soon as YaST2 gets stable enough.

Thanks for your time. I expect to hear from you. :)
