What's the problem with a you update for rpm?
Once again my main problem with (open)SUSE: security fixes only. I upgraded
pine and openvpn from factory already myself for SUSE 10.0...
I still don't understand the policy, we could have a testing repository
for things like functional upgrades.

I hope smart will replace the YaST package manager, it's much more powerfull.
Why duplicate the effort? The only thing you have to create for YaST is a Qt and
ncurses frontend.
