Troubles with SMART

If you don't have all the channels, seems you didn't say yes everywhere
(or something else went wrong, but this would be the first time, at

Smart can't use the SUSE CDs as a channel.
At least not that I'm aware of.
Use internet repositories instead.

I guess you already have all the dependencies installed (python-xml,
python-elementtree, rpm-python), so just:

rpm -e smart
rpm -ivh \
http://ftp.skynet.be/pub/suser-guru/smart/10.1/i586/smart-latest.rpm

If you're on a 64bit system ("uname -m" says "x86_64") then use this one
instead:
rpm -ivh \
http://ftp.skynet.be/pub/suser-guru/smart/10.1/x86_64/smart-latest.rpm

Then run
  smart update
and answer "yes" everywhere.

That's it. Has worked for several dozens of people until now.
