hang while using smart to install packages on SuSE system

Next time try to attach gdb to the proccess and take a backtrace. I'm
not sure if you know how to, so here are some instructions:

- when it hang, get the PID
- run "gdb smart <pid>"
- type "bt" (enter)
- quit
- copy the hole gdb screen
- send to the list
