this has worked before, and in any case, enabling only one (rpm-sys), didn't
solve it.

b) Do you think your problem is somewhat related to any of issue12, issue34

sounds a lot like 12, could be 82 also (how can i tell the difference?), as
for 34, i use an idle machine with 1G ram, so i don't think it is it
