aptosmart is a little script that converts apt sources into smart channels

Guru has written a script to convert yast channels to smart. it works the same
as aptosmart. http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/files/smart/yast2-sources-to-smart.sh

i'd like to see this added as a command to smart. maybe something like smart
import-channels. it'd also be nice to see this concept expanded to cover other
sources. yum, up2date, slack, urpmi.
