We agree that having external converters for Smart channel format is important,
but that shouldn't be a Smart command, since it's a one time operation. It's
better that this should be externally supported, and for that we'll keep
updating the FAQ to include the links to any available converters we find. Any
additions are welcome.

Anyway, the packagers are free to provide those scripts as a plus on their
packages, and run it on a %post script, for example.
