Smart stopped working

Hi,
I had smart installed and thanks to the help of Axel got it working
beautifully for one day. However, suddenly - it's possible after a
restart I don't remember anymore - when I start it I get an error
message and smart kills itself. The error message is:

Regarding the last line /var/lib/smart/channels/ivazquez.channel

Looking correct. Can anybody (Alex?) tell me how to correct this?
