Install bunch of local rpms?

I just tried 
smart install ./somerpms*

and it did not work.  It was like this.  Suppose we call them rpm1, rpm2.  
Then I did smart install ./rpm*.

It happens that rpms with the same names and versions were available from my 
channels, because I had just rebuilt the srpms.

It seems that smart was going to install the local rpm1, but try to download 
rpm2.

If I did:
smart install ./rpm1
smart install ./rpm2

Then it worked correctly.
