Mimelnks -a real pain.

Suse 10.0

The below upgrade commenced with me trying to install the new
koffice-spreadsheet. I was soon faced with installing additional packages to
satisfy dependencies. The problem with mimelnks takes me back a few years
when I was upgrading kde manually. I had to use rpm --force --nodeps to get
past these. Is this still the case ? How would you tackle this ?
