If the the package 'smart' requires the package 'gtk2' without
specifying the version/release, it's more like a packaging problem than
a dep solving problem, thus, nothing to do with Smart.
If a file is missing from inside an RPM that is already installed, Smart
can't know about it either;

You should ask Pascal Bleser (Guru) which GTK version he's using while
compiling the 'smart' package.
