Running the latest 'smart --gui' on an Athlon on SUSE 10.0. While performing a simple "update", 'top' showed smart taking more than 40% of the CPU. Should it take more than 800,000,000 instructions each second to track the downloading of index files from repositories ?? I run a background task - I'd rather give it those CPU cycles. mikus
