Error Message on updating cache

Hi,

I'm using Smart 0.42 with opensuse 10.1 on my hp nx8220 notebook. I has doing 
its job fantasticly for a while but recently I got an error message every 
time it tries to update the cache and I cannot use it anymore. I don't know 
what to do - here is the error/ traceback message:
