Thanks for the speedy reply. It's a chicken/egg problem!
I need the fedora-package-etc but the subprogram decides it to be in the
RPMS.release directory while atrpms stores it in the /redhat/release
directory (so smart truthfully complains and won't install it!).
I assume I can install it manually with RPM without disturbing the smart
database?
