Basically yes, as long as it ends up in "group" in repomd.xml
If working alright, then it should be listed with yum grouplist

Testing on Fedora showed a problem with the group file fetch,
as it added an extra download step and shouldn't be compressed,
but it seems to be working OK once that was corrected so I
will upload the patch to the Smart tracker on Labix shortly...
