Regarding Proxy authentication

Hi All,

I am trying to use proxy authentication using smart, but its not working. I
did the following,

smart config --set http-proxy=http://uname:pwd@ipaddr:port-num/
smart config --set ftp-proxy=ftp://uname:pwd@ipaddr:port-num/

And also my global environment variables http_proxy and ftp_proxy are also
set

But, when I run smart update, I get this error,

error: http://88.198.41.209/pub/devel/yoper-3.0/base/release: (-2, 'Name or
service not known')

My distribution is Yoper <http://www.yoper.com>

I would be happy if anybody could help me. I have tested with apt-get and
apt-get works fine with the env variables, http_proxy and ftp_proxy set.
