Basically openSUSE is shipping an outdated version of the
zyppchannelsync.py plugin file, it needs to be updated...

That's only for the "DeprecationWarning" part quoted above, though.


The "configuration is in readonly mode" usually means that either
you are not root/admin, or smart is already running in background ?

Depending on which command you are trying to run, being read-only
doesn't necessarily have to be a problem - e.g. query is still fine.
